Christian Bloomgren serves as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Afaxys, Inc., a public benefit corporation dedicated to expanding access to sexual and reproductive healthcare across the U.S. public health system. As CEO, he sets the company’s strategic vision, drives sustainable growth, strengthens stakeholder partnerships, oversees operations across Afaxys Pharma, Afaxys Drug Development, and Afaxys Group Services, and advances Afaxys’ mission. Prior to his appointment as CEO in 2026, Christian served as Afaxys’ President and Chief Commercial Officer, where he led enterprise-wide marketing, sales, and growth initiatives.

With over 25 years of experience and 28 successful product launches in the healthcare industry, Christian has a strong track record of building and leading high-performing organizations across the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, biotech, and medical device sectors. He brings deep expertise in women’s health and commercialization, having held senior leadership roles at Infinant Health (Chief Commercial Officer), Dominion Aesthetic Technologies (President & CCO), and TherapeuticsMD (Senior Vice President).

As a founding member of TherapeuticsMD, Christian built the nation’s largest women’s health-focused sales organization and led multiple successful product launches. Under his leadership, the company achieved a market capitalization exceeding $1 billion following its public offering on the NYSE in 2016. He also played a key role in the development of vitaCare Prescription Services, a tech-enabled pharmacy platform designed to improve patient access and medication adherence. The platform was acquired by GoodRx in 2022 for $157 million.

Christian began his healthcare career in the women’s health division at Eli Lilly & Company after serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force. He later contributed to the growth of ViaCell, a stem cell-focused biotech company that was acquired by PerkinElmer in 2007. In addition to his executive roles, he has served as a member of the Forbes Business Council and as an Entrepreneur in Residence at The University of Texas at Austin, where he provided leadership and guidance to early-stage medical device, biotech, and diagnostic ventures.

Mr. Bloomgren holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University and a Master of Science in Management from Troy University. He resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife Josie and their four sons.
