Susan Overly

EVP, Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder

Susan Overly is a key member of Afaxys’s founding team, joining the organization more than 14 years ago. She served as Afaxys’s first CFO, developing the original business plan and multi-year strategic plan and implementing the company’s financial strategies – including the initial fundraising activities that supported the launch of Afaxys’s first oral contraceptive products. Prior to Afaxys, her experience spanned Fortune 100 companies, start-up ventures and the nonprofit sector. With over 30 years of experience in finance and operations across a variety of industries including transportation, construction and community health, Susan recently transitioned into the role of Chief Operating Officer.

Susan earned a bachelor’s degree from Rhodes College and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
