We Hear Your Unique Needs

We’ve all experienced it – the dreaded feeling of needing help, picking up the phone, and finding nothing more than a dial tone or robotic voice on the other end, or sending an email only to receive an automated response. While this has become the new standard in today’s digital world, at Afaxys Group Services (AGS), we keep it traditional – when you call us, we answer. When you email us, we respond within 24-hours during the regular business week. You won’t find an artificial intelligence service or a satellite customer care center on the other side of your communication; you’ll find one of our committed team members ready to assist you in real-time. And that’s not our only promise to you.

The Afaxys Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), part of AGS, is proud to serve health centers across the public and community health sectors, providing information, resources, and support to meet the diverse needs of health centers and patients in an efficient and cost-effective way. As someone who worked in the operating room for 10 years, I understand the demands and pressures that exist in a clinical setting, and it’s now mine and my team’s job to take on some of that burden and find the best solutions.

How does the Afaxys GPO work?

We’ve built our GPO by listening to the needs of the public health sector. Through unique relationships, our GPO leverages the purchasing power of our members to secure discounts from suppliers, providing access to quality products for every business need at a much lower cost. All our members, regardless of size or purchase volume, have access to hundreds of best-in-class suppliers as well as nationally recognized manufacturers and service providers.

While we act on behalf of all our members, we don’t employ a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Members tell us what they need, and we negotiate with our suppliers, service providers, and distributors to ensure their individual needs are being met.

How else does Afaxys support its members?

We are prepared to listen to our members unique needs and the obstacles they’re facing through our live customer service – both via phone and email – and work to find the best solution.

Whether a legacy member or new to the GPO, members can expect to receive white glove services from our team. Let me share a few specific examples of what this means:

  • We have alliances with CommonWealth Purchasing Group (CPG) and MediGroup to expand our portfolio of products, so our members have access to everything they need to run their health centers, including pharmaceutical products, medical equipment, business supplies, and services.
  • Our relationship with Upstream allows our members to strengthen reproductive care and autonomy by increasing equitable access to the full range of contraceptive options. The organization provides patient-centered training and technical assistance to Federally Qualified Health Centers, hospital systems, state and local health departments across the nation.
  • We maintain a holistic view of member needs and the industry through our rule of three – if we hear the same need or request from members at least three times, that signals a trend, and we will begin to explore supplier contract options to satisfy that recurring need.

Why does Afaxys offer this service?

We understand the important role health centers play to serve their patients. Our goal is to offer lower costs to imperative products and a streamlined ordering process, so our members can spend more time focused on patient care.

We have had the privilege to serve 6,700+ members spanning family planning clinics, medical private practice, and rape-crisis centers and have secured more than $16 million in annual member savings from a single contracted supplier.

We are committed to the community and public health sectors and the patients who rely on these services. Here at Afaxys GPO, we hear your needs, and we’re ready to help.
